GeoloGIS history and experience

GeoloGIS was established in 2010 by the Director, Dr Rob Barnes, a Chartered Geologist with 37 years professional geological experience. Prior geological survey roles give a particular insight into the appropriate use of geological mapping and associated information to identify what is uncertain or even unknown at any particular location. Extensive GIS experience facilitates the creation and interpretation of mapping in support of desk study and walkover projects.

The GeoloGIS client list crosses a wide spectrum of users of geological information including UK Government, international engineering/construction and mineral exploration companies and energy producers and UK survey, architect and farm businesses and householders.

Our aim is simply to provide the best possible information for all client's purposes, in a friendly and helpful manner, cost-effectively and within required timescales.
